An essential purchase for any country music fan will be back in print on Sept. 13 when George Strait's 1995 CD boxed set Strait Out of the Box: Part 1 gets a Walmart exclusive re-release.
The 72-song collection includes 31 of Strait's number one singles plus such seminal cuts as "Unwound" and "Amarillo By Morning." It's not all album cuts either, with the first three songs ("I Just Can't Go on Dying Like This," "(That Don't Change) The Way I Feel About You" and "I Don't Want to Talk It Over Anymore") coming from Strait's days as an independent artist.
The four-disc set earned 8x platinum certification for selling over eight million units. Only Bruce Springsteen's Live 1975-85 boxed set has sold more copies.
A second box set, Strait Out of the Box: Part 2, was released in 2016.
