Country music producer Tony Brown has been arrested and charged with domestic assault following an incident on Monday night.
According to WATE, Brown's wife Jamie called the police to their home in Nashville around 11 PM on Feb. 22. She told cops that the two had allegedly begun fighting over poses for a photo shoot that was planned for the next day. According to a police affidavit, Brown called his wife's ideas "slutty," then allegedly slapped her in the face, pushed her to the ground and dragged her by her hair.
Jamie Brown reportedly got away and locked herself and their dog in her car in order to call the police. Investigators report that she had visible injuries due to the incident, and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Tony Brown was taken to the Davidson County jail on a domestic assault charge and $10,000 bond. Although he posted bond earlier this morning (Feb. 23), the Tennessean is reporting that he is still being incarcerated on a mandatory 12-hour hold.
The 69-year-old producer has worked with many major country music stars in the past, including George Strait, Reba McEntire and Vince Gill. He also recently worked on Cyndi Lauper's upcoming country album, Detour. In 2013, Brown was also arrested for domestic assault after allegedly pushing and choking his wife at their home.
