George Jones fans across the country will soon be able to pick up a little “white lightning” at their nearest liquor store.
Since its opening earlier this year, the George Jones Museum in downtown Nashville has been the sole vendor of Jones’ White Lightning Moonshine and Vodka. After incredible public demand and critical acclaim, the company behind the product announced that “plans are underway to choose the right partner to create an international footprint.”
The team behind the product has joined with a major investment group to strategize how to get their product into stores both across America and the globe.
Jones’ widow, Nancy Jones, spearheaded the original concept of a unique alcoholic drink line with the iconic image of the country legend.
“George always wanted to own his own brand of whiskey,” she said in a statement. “This was one of the promises I made to him before he died, that I’d make that dream come true.”
It’s not yet clear when “White Lightning” will make its way to stores, but keep an eye out on Wide Open Country for additional information in the coming months.
