It's been almost a year since "Choosin' Texas" came out, and we're still talking about it. The breakup song holds the record for the longest-running No. 1 hit by a female artist, staying in the top spot for 16 weeks.
And while the song's success has certainly helped bring more attention to country music, the lead singer of Rascal Flatts has had enough of it.
Gary LeVox Said He Might Put Ella Langley "In a Chokehold"
During a recent appearance on the Big D & Bubba radio show. LeVox talked about how inescapable "Choosin' Texas" has become in the last year.
"Well, you know, I love it but I (hate it)," he said playfully. "I might have to put Ella in a chokehold because if I hear that freaking song (one more time). And when it starts, I just can't (get it out of my head)."
We certainly know how he feels. Of course, it's similar to what happens to us every time we hear Rascal Flatts' cover of "Life Is a Highway." It seems like that song, which appears in the movie Cars, has been played every hour on the hour for 20 years. And with more kids discovering the 2006 Pixar classic, that song isn't going away anytime soon, either.

Despite LeVox's frustration with the song, he can't help but admire it.
"It's just that melody," he says. "When it starts, I'm done for the day. 'She's from Texas I can tell' and I just automatically, 1000%, the rest of the day hum it all freaking day long."
But LeVox isn't the only country music legend who admires Langley's achievement. Last month, Shania Twain couldn't help but heap praises on the young artist.
"I see her as an authentic songwriter," said the "Any Man of Mine" singer. "She sounds original."
"That's already a bonus, right? So we already can hear the difference, and she really does seem very unapologetic," she added. "That commands respect. I sense that in her, in her aura, and her persona, and the way she delivers a song. I believe what she's saying."
