According to reports, Garth Brooks is in talks to perform at the January 20 inauguration of Donald Trump.

Media news outlet TMZ recently asked Brooks if he was interested in singing for Trump’s inauguration. “It’s all about serving,” he replied. “It’s what you do.”

In fact, Brooks is one of the only celebrities that have spoken up about playing the event. Many other celebrities including Elton John, Vince Neil and NeYo have all stated that they have no intentions of performing at the ceremony in Washington D.C.

“Garth has performed for the five living presidents… while rumor has it that he has been asked to perform for President-elect Trump, he has not been able to commit yet,” his publicist Nancy Seltzer said on Friday.

Brooks currently has tour dates scheduled in Cincinnati, Ohio the weekend of the inauguration. Although the span of shows doesn’t start until the day after Trump’s celebration, it leaves Brooks with a small amount of time to travel and get ready for the tour.

Fans will just have to sit tight and wait for the official word from Brooks in the coming weeks.
