Garth Brooks will perform a brand new song on the 2018 CMA Awards. During an episode of Inside Studio G on Facebook Live, the country star announced that he'll perform his upcoming single, which is dedicated to his wife Trisha Yearwood.
Brooks didn't share the title of the song, but he did give a clue that the song's initials are "S.T.M." The legendary performer said that not even Yearwood has heard the song yet. The live performance will be the first time he'll sing the tune for his wife.
"It's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard for a female or for someone that you love," Brooks said during Inside Studio G. "And of course I can't help but think of Ms. Yearwood, so I'm calling it Trisha's song."
The song will be sent to country radio on Nov. 15, the day after the CMA Awards.
The singer is just one of the many artists who'll be performing during the annual awards ceremony. Luke Combs, Brett Young, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves and more will also take the stage.
Brooks recently announced that he'll be embarking on a three-year stadium tour, which will kick off on March 9 at the Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, Mo. The second show will take place in Glendale, Ariz. at the State Farm Stadium on March 23. Tickets will go on sale for both cities on Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. local time.
Brooks recently performed at Notre Dame Stadium on Oct. 20. The concert will be broadcast on CBS on Dec. 2.
The CMA Awards will air on Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. CT on ABC.
