Garth Brooks Tapped to Headline 2018 Stagecoach Festival

Country superstar Garth Brooks has been tapped to headline the 2018 Stagecoach Festival.

The surprising news broke earlier this morning via Billboard. It will all take place April 27-29, 2018 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif. The remainder of the festival's lineup is expected to be announced sometime in early September.

Brooks' move into the music festival circuit isn't completely surprising. His current North American world tour is expected to wrap up within the coming months, and his 2018 schedule is pretty open so far. The only other live dates he's confirmed for next year are his opening and closing night performances at RodeoHouston 2018 in February and March.

Earlier this summer, Brooks surprised festival goers at CMA Music Festival in Nashville with an unannounced performance at Nissan Stadium. Does this mean he'll be making the rounds at some of the summer's biggest festivals next year? Only time will tell.

It's also unclear which night of Stagecoach Brooks will headline, but let's be real. He has more than enough material to play every single night if he wanted to.
