Fans are remembering the late Dolly Parton, each in the way that feels right to them. Maybe they are binge-listening to her records. Some may choose to watch her movies like 9 to 5. Others are taking to social media to express their thoughts on the sad passing of this legend. One of those who did so is the daughter of Garth Brooks, Allie Colleen, 30, a singer and songwriter herself, posted about Parton, writing in part about how she fears losing her beloved dad someday.

For that, she was blasted by some. They felt Colleen made what was supposedly a tribute to Dolly Parton excessively about herself and Brooks. However, not everybody reacted harshly. Some had compassion and understanding for a young woman who is in a unique position as the child of a country music superstar.
Allie Colleen Described Her "Greatest Fear in Life"
On Instagram, Colleen wrote this, "My greatest fear in life is the day my Dad loses his life and I have to se the world mourn a man they never knew the way that I knew him..To the personal family and friends of Mrs. Dolly, you have all my love and condolences today and forever going forward-What a huge, beautiful, special life to have loved and to grieve' Thank you for sharing her with us all. She Got Some Withering Backlash Along With Support
Allie Colleen faced some intense criticism for that post. People unleashed their wrath in the comments. However, many were much kinder, appreciative, and lenient than others.
Wrote one, "I think it's great, I understand what she meant!"
From another came this. "People you are reading too much into it. She is grieving in her own way. She means no disrespect for anyone it's how she is feeling. Let it go or don't comment."
Someone else offered this remark. "Your father is far from Dolly Parton lovie."
"...Talking about yourself in such moment is so weird and self-centred."
"I dread the day your father leaves this world i love your father he is amazing"
"Your industry??? You're not even a blip on someone's radar. You put an album out 5 years ago nepo baby and no one would know you if it wasn't for your Daddy so stop with you thinking your an elite artist. Hysterical and by far typical nepo behavior. Not surprised"
"What a weird tribute, it's about Dolly not you"
