Garth Brooks Breaks Record for Ticket Sales in Louisiana

Garth Brooks is breaking records with his highly-anticipated comeback tour.

According to NewsOK, Brooks broke his own previous Louisiana sales record in just 43 minutes when tickets for his first concerts in New Orleans went on sale Friday (May 5).

His previous record for Louisiana ticket sales was for his set of shows on April 23-25, 1998, at Pete Maravich Center in Baton Rouge. Brooks sold 42,110 tickets for those shows and has currently sold 55,423 tickets for his New Orleans shows. Brooks is set to play four shows at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on July 10, 11, and 12.

Tickets for his shows in New Orleans are currently on sale exclusively through Ticketmaster. You can purchase tickets through their website or by phone at (800) 745-3000. All tickets for the show cost $66.73, with an additional $2 facility fee and $6.25 service charge. Customers may only purchase eight tickets at a time for all of Brooks’ concerts.

Brooks was recently forced to cancel a string of shows in Florida because of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s run into the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.
