‘Full House’ Star Has One Word for Iced Pumpkin Lattes: "Abominations"

Full House star Jodie Sweetin has recently made her stance on iced pumpkin lattes incredibly clear, calling them 'abominations'

We're in the season of the iced pumpkin latte, and for many, that's what makes fall bearable. After all, summer is in the rearview mirror, and colder, often harsher weather is already starting to set in. However, not everyone is a fan of the popular drink. Full House star Jodie Sweetin has recently made her stance on iced pumpkin lattes incredibly clear.

It's not that Jodie doesn't like pumpkin spice lattes; she just doesn't want them iced.

"Everybody knows I won't even drink a pumpkin spice latte until it's cold enough that it's sweater weather," Sweetin, 44, told Today.com. "Iced pumpkin lattes? Abominations," she went on. "Pumpkin spice is a cozy feeling, not a hot feeling."

Sweetin isn't alone. There's a sizeable portion of the population who prefer their lattes to be hot, or at least warm. The drink is intended for colder weather, after all. Having it iced kind of defeats the purpose of it being a drink you look forward to as the temperature begins to tumble.

Now, if coffee shops are selling the iced version in the summer, well, then that makes perfect sense. But when it comes to fall and even winter, iced drinks should be shelved. They have their place, and the 'brrr months' aren't it.

Starbucks Added the Pumpkin Spiced Latte to Their Menu in August

If there's one thing you can say about Starbucks, it's that their customer research is on point. The coffee conglomerate opted to release its pumpkin spice range in August this year, giving enough time for lovers to get their iced fix in before the weather began to change.

According to PEOPLE, Dunkin also got an early start on its pumpkin range this year, dropping the new menu on August 19.

Of course, we shouldn't expect to bump into Sweetin in any of these coffee shops. Even if we did, there is no chance she's going to be waiting on an iced pumpkin latte. For some of us, certain drinks just aren't on the cards. For others, this time of year is a green light to go wild on the seasonal beverage.

Still, the debate needs to be settled one way or another: when should a pumpkin spice latte stop being iced, or should it be served year-round? It's a debate that shows no sign of ending.
