Legendary singer Frankie Valli has pushed back against speculation that he is retiring from performing, despite recently canceling the remainder of his 2026 tour.

The rumors were surprisingly fueled by his own brother, Bobby Valli. The latter claimed on Wednesday that the Four Seasons frontman was stepping away from the stage.
However, Frankie set the record straight on Friday with a brief but definitive statement denying that his remarkable career had come to an end.
Frankie Valli Denies Retirement at 92
The Four Seasons frontman, now 92, did not directly address his brother's comments. But the timing of his response left little room for confusion.
"In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired," Valli posted on Instagram.
Following the short but emphatic statement, Bobby returned to Facebook to retract his previous claim and apologize for the confusion.
"I apologize, I was misinformed," he wrote. "I was under the impression my brother Frankie was retiring. Hoping for him to have a speedy recovery to continue his illustrious career!"
The unusual back and forth comes after Valli canceled the remaining dates on the Four Seasons' 2026 tour due to health concerns.
Valli is the only original member of the legendary group who still performs with the current lineup. He has been on an extended farewell tour for nearly three years.
Health Concerns Led to Tour Cancellation
The farewell tour, billed as The Last Encores, launched in October 2023 and had continued with dates scheduled into 2026.
Performances originally planned for April had already been rescheduled for the summer and fall before Valli ultimately canceled all of the remaining shows.
"I'm so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health," the singer wrote.
Despite his age and the latest health setback, Valli has made it clear that canceling the tour does not necessarily mean his days onstage are over.
He left the door open to future performances, saying, "I'm looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon."
Valli's career has now spanned more than seven decades.
The Four Seasons have sold an estimated 100 million records worldwide. The band earned induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
Alongside his success with the group, Valli established a celebrated solo career. He received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2026.
