Frankie Muniz took to X, formerly Twitter, to share a message that has concerned fans.

The former actor turned racer posted to X, "Can't sleep. Hard when you realize your friends aren't really your friends."
It is not known what Muniz means by this, as the message came out of nowhere yesterday. It's not the first time he's thrown out a post that has worried his audience. Sometimes they'll have a humorous tinge, like when he simply tweeted "pain" years ago.
This one seems a lot more serious, however. June last year, Muniz posted "I really haven't slept in a week." It's strange how both tweets that sparked concern involve him losing sleep, although that's a common symptom of stress and upset.
It isn't clear what the Malcolm In The Middle actor meant by the post, or who he's referencing. It's a shame that he's dealing with friendship difficulties, but I'm not sure that posting a cryptic message to his fans will help at all in his problem.
Fans have flocked to the comments to provide support and perspective as best they can.
Internet Reacts To Cryptic Frankie Muniz Post
Like last time, fans have commented their support.
"I'd look at it the other way: It lets you know who your real friends are," one wisely offers.
"The friend group will shrink, and you'll be left with the real ones. Shit sucks going through, but you'll be better off without them in the long run. Sorry man," one kindly writes.
Some are a little more proactive than others, even if they're just joking.
"Give me their names and addresses," says one.
"I'll take care of it," jokes another.
Other fans are taking the post much lighter.
"Classic emo frankie muniz sadpost," one writes, riffing on the semi-frequent posts of a sadder nature.
"Hard to be in the middle all the time..." another jokes, referencing his role in Malcolm In The Middle.
Speaking of, it's been a week since Muniz announced that Malcolm In The Middle will be returning with new episodes and the original cast. The post is likely unrelated to the return of the show, although for all we know, it could be.
