Why Did Zach Top Fire Cheyenne Dalton Meyer and Her Husband?
Cheyenne had a strong social media following, leaving fans to wonder why Top abruptly fired her and Jimmy.
A week later, Norbert McGettigan took the stage as Top's new bassist. Ryan Joseph also made his debut as the fiddle and mandolin player.
The reason for Cheyenne and Jimmy's firing remains unknown. Cheyenne addressed her sudden departure on Instagram shortly after it happened.
"Let's talk about it ..." she wrote. "A little over a month ago, I was let go from my position with ZT. While this was unexpected, I want to thank all of you for following along with me on all of my adventures.
She added, "I'll miss all of the fun, playing great music, and meeting every one of you. I couldn't have done this without all of your kindness and encouragement. You all built up my confidence, and I have transformed into what I am today because of you! I'm back home in Missouri now, and although I'm not sure what comes next, I'll still be here posting my daily life. If you choose to stay around, I thank you! Who knows, maybe someday I'll put out some of my own music for the world to hear."
Who Is Cheyenne Playing With Now?
Cheyenne announced on Instagram that several months after being fired by Top, she has found a new gig. She is now touring with David Lewis, a traditional country singer from Texas who recently opened several shows for Cody Johnson.
"Can't wait any longer to tell ya...I'M OFFICIALLY IN THE BAND," Cheyenne wrote on Instagram. "So thankful to @davidlewismusic and crew for believing in me, and I'm honored to stand on stage alongside these incredible people... I better see ya somewhere down the road!"
