Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez has agreed to plead guilty to charges stemming from his drunken brawl with a truck driver in Indianapolis last year.

Sanchez, who was facing three misdemeanors and a felony battery charge, filed a motion for a guilty plea on Thursday.
The former Fox Sports analyst got into a physical altercation with truck driver Perry Tole after he parked his truck in an alley to collect cooking oil outside an Indianapolis hotel in early October 2025.

The former Jets quarterback was stabbed during the scuffle, but authorities alleged he was the instigator.
Footage captured Sanchez clutching his wounds while walking from the alleyway into a nearby bar.
Tole was also hospitalized and claimed in a lawsuit against Sanchez that he was left "permanently disfigured" from the attack.

Sanchez was initially charged with three misdemeanors — battery, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication — and later charged with a felony for battery resulting in serious bodily injury.
It is unclear which of the charges Sanchez intends to plead guilty to.
Sanchez's attorneys are reportedly requesting that his sentencing hearing take place on Nov. 9 or Nov. 16 if his plea is accepted, per multiple reports.

Nick Sanchez Jr., a legal advisor to Mark Sanchez, described the move as a "positive development" in resolving the state case.
"We are finalizing an agreement with the prosecutor's office that provides a path toward resolving the state's case. We're also encouraged by the constructive conversations taking place regarding the related civil matter. There is real momentum toward bringing this entire chapter to a close," Sanchez Jr said in a statement to the Post.
Matt Golitko, an attorney for Tole, added in a statement that Sanchez's legal team has created a "positive path" for moving forward.
"We are pleased with the constructive and professional conversations we've had with Mr. Sanchez's team. Our discussions have been productive. We're on a positive path toward an agreement that will allow the parties to move forward. Mr. Tole appreciates the progress we have achieved. We look forward to an amicable resolution," Golitko said.
