"The 25-year-old from Estonia's arrest was in connection with a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme dating back to his time at West Virginia as a Mountaineer in 2023-24," Kentucky Sports Radio reported. "He's being extradited back to West Virginia with a court hearing scheduled for next week."

Currently, details regarding the fraud allegations have not been made public. However, that didn't stop Kriisa from being booked into Fayette County Detention Center following his arrest, per WKYT.

According to The New York Post, Kriisa was preparing for an upcoming basketball tournament for college graduates. The tournament, known as "The Basketball Tournament," has a $2 million prize. He was set to represent the University of Kentucky team, dubbed "La Familia."

Of course, Kriisa will no longer be part of the Kentucky squad. He was expected to make his tournament debut later this month on July 18.
