Former Love & Hip-Hop Star K. Michelle isn't shying away from her love of country music star Morgan Wallen. In fact, she is doubling down on it.

K. Michelle recently appeared on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club to promote her upcoming country album Jesus & Whiskey. She also addressed the backlash she received for calling Wallen her "favorite" artist. Despite the controversial remarks that he made back in 2021.
K. Michelle Doubles Down on Support For Wallen
During the interview, K. Michelle addressed a leaked clip where Wallen appeared to use the N-word. She said that she confronted the country music star over his use of the word. But also questioned why people "pick and choose" their outrage.
Breakfast Club Host, Charlamagne The God, hit back, insisting that he does not let any of his white friends use that word. To which K. Michelle responded that she doesn't allow her friends to use the word either. But she also asked why other people "who are not black" are allowed to say it.
She also said that she believed that Wallen not being able to enter a Grammy Award submission that year wasn't necessarily a move that was made in support of black people. But rather it was an opening for people who personally did not like Wallen to exact revenge on him.
After the video was released, Wallen issued an apology for using the slur. He explained that he was on a "72-hour bender." Wallen also said that the moment was not something that he was "proud" of. He also said he was going off the grid to focus on "making good decisions" in the future.
"Who knows if I'll be able to live down all the mistakes I've made, but I'm certainly going to try. I'm going to spend some time taking back control of... living healthy and being proud of my actions," he wrote in a statement back in 2021.
He also asked his fans not to defend him using the word. And took full ownership of his actions.
"I was wrong. It's on me to take ownership of this, and I fully accept any penalties I'm facing," the statement added.
