Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been hospitalized. The politician was rushed to the hospital while on a congressional delegation trip to a World War II battlefield in Luxembourg.

It appears that Pelosi sustained an injury while she was abroad. At this time, we're not sure what the injury is and how it happened. Pelosi is 84 years old. A spokesperson for the politician released a statement, confirming that Pelosi was at the hospital.
Doctors are keeping Pelosi for evaluation. However, it's unknown if the injury is serious or if this is just out of precaution.
"While traveling with a bipartisan Congressional delegation in Luxembourg to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi sustained an injury during an official engagement and was admitted to the hospital for evaluation," the statement said.
Pelosi had traveled to Luxembourg for the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. It was a WWII battle on the European Theater. however, her trip didn't go according to plan for the politician. Her spokesman Ian Krager confirmed that she was getting medical care.
Nancy Pelosi Hospitalized
He praised the hospital staff.
"Speaker Emerita Pelosi is currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals," Krager said in a statement. "She continues to work and regrets that she is unable to attend the remainder of the [co-delegation's] engagements to honor the courage of our service members during one of the greatest acts of American heroism in our nation's history."
He also added, ""Speaker Emerita Pelosi was personally and officially honored to travel with the distinguished delegation, many of whom had family members who fought in World War II — including her uncle, Johnny. She looks forward to returning home to the U.S. soon."
The news brought several reactions online with some expressing prayers. One wrote, "I'm praying for Nancy Pelosi, I don't agree with her but she still is an American politician. I am wishing her a fast recovery so I can start criticizing her again. This the American way."
However, not everyone could let the heat of politics die. One person wrote, "Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi are perfect examples of why we need term limits. Also perfect examples as to why the US Capitol is the most prestigious assisted living facility in the country. I wonder if they have installed life alert systems throughout the building."
