Bobb'e J. Thompson, best known for his role in the Disney sitcom That's So Raven, was sentenced to 30 months in prison on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

The Disney Channel alum was sentenced in Sioux City by U.S. District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand after he pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a firearm by a felon on April 28, 2026, KTIV reported.
The 30-year-old actor's prison sentence was imposed one year after police pulled him over in Cerro Gordo County on Sept. 22, 2025, for driving 104 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. Upon searching one of Thompson's bags in the vehicle, police officers found a fully loaded .40-caliber firearm, a 15-round magazine and marijuana purchased from a dispensary.
Authorities later discovered that the firearm in Thompson's possession was stolen.
Former Disney Star Sentenced to Prison
According to TMZ, the 30 Rock actor is currently in the custody of US Marshals before being transferred to a federal prison.
Once he completes his 30-month prison sentence, he is ordered to a three-year supervised release, the outlet reported.
During the 2000s, Thompson appeared in several hit series and blockbuster movies.
The actor starred in Shark Tale, The Boondocks, My Wife and Kids, Role Models, Fred Claus, Snowmen, and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, among others.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Thompson began acting at the age of five. His breakout role came in That's So Raven, where he played the slick-talking prankster Stanley from 2004 to 2006. He later reprised the role in the show's first spin-off, Cory in the House.
He also hosted his own series on Cartoon Network, Bobb'e Says. Thompson later opted out of a second season to pursue more films.
His prison sentence comes days after Disney alum Debbie Ryan opened up about her "life-altering brain injury."
Ryan, who starred on Suite Life on Deck, confessed that she experienced "hellish" migraines for years in an interview with Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals.
"I had a pretty crazy life-altering brain injury a few years ago, and I was out of commission for like six months. I went to this neurological rehab for like six months," Ryan revealed
Ryan referred to herself as a "migraine warrior," adding: "Quite often the world is really loud and too bright. A lot is going on. After the fifth concussion, the brain injury made things significantly worse."
