Matt Prokop, a former child actor who appeared in The Office and High School Musical 3 has been arrested. Prokop is facing multiple charges; however, the most disturbing of those is the alleged possession of child pornography.

Prokop is currently in custody at the county jail. He was arrested on Christmas Eve. The former child star was originally arrested in 2024 after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend. He was charged with aggravated assault on a family member and resisting arrest. It would appear that he violated the terms of his bond, which led police back to his place of residence.
"Investigators said Prokop was taken into custody at a home in the 100 block of Milam Street after an investigation determined he violated the terms of his bond," Crossroads Today reported. "On Dec. 24, he was arrested on charges of violation of bond conditions, evading and resisting arrest. An additional charge of possession or promotion of child pornography was added after a warrant was signed Dec. 31."
No information has been provided as to when Prokop will be in court or what the potential sentencing could look like if found guilty.
Sarah Hyland Has a Restraining Order Against Matt Prokop
Prokop is no stranger to brushes with the law. Modern Family star Sarah Hyland previously sought a restraining order against him. Prokop and Hyland were together for years; however, Hyland eventually moved to restrict his ability to contact her. She claimed that he was both verbally and physically abusive.
The restraining order was granted, and he was ordered to stay away from her for three years. TMZ previously reported the full scope of the restraining order against Prokop, and it looks like this:
-stay 100 yards away from Hyland and her house
-not go near her job or workplace
-not own or possess a gun or ammunition
-stay 100 yards away from Hyland's dog, Barkley Bixby
-not attack, threaten or harm the dog in any way
Hyland suffered from kidney dysplasia. So, while her ordeal with Prokop likely contributed to her on-screen absence, her health will continue to come first. Hopefully, we will see her again in the coming years.
