Flushed Away: Firefighters Rescue Man Trapped in Porta-Potty Toilet

Firefighters' role extends far beyond extinguishing flames and rescuing cats from trees. In addition to fire prevention, firefighters provide medical assistance, educate communities about fire safety, and assist with search and rescue missions.

Sometimes, their work leads them to some pretty crappy situations, too, such as when a crew of firefighters in Kansas City had to rescue a man trapped in a toilet.

Firefighters arrived at a bizarre scene this week when a

According to a post on X about the situation, firefighters were forced to cut apart the porta-potty to save the man trapped beneath the seat.

During the rescue, the man lashed out at firefighters, who fired back with a snappy remark.

After firefighters cut an escape hole for the man using a buzzsaw, they repeatedly advised him to lean forward and climb out.

However, the man claimed that the hole was not big enough and cursed at the emergency responders.

"Lean forward and climb out," said one firefighter.

"I can't dumb f***," the trapped man responded.

"I'm the dumb f***. You're sitting in a f****** urinal. That's real smart to say," the firefighter replied.

Eventually, the man emerged from the vessel of sewage and feces and was promptly hosed down by firefighters.

Internet Reacts to Toilet Diver

Details regarding how the man became stuck in the porta-potty toilet are unclear. However, many social media users believed it had to be at least partially intentional and poked fun at the toilet diver.

One user joked, "This is a sh*tty situation, I can tell you that."

"I don't wanna hear anyone complaining that they've had a shitty day again," another replied.

One user questioned how effective hosing him off would be after such a lengthy time spent inside of a public toilet.

"They got antibacterial soap in those hoses??"

On average, a toilet bowl contains 3.2 million bacteria per square inch, including germs in toilet water.

I'm no scientist, but I'd have to assume a public porta-potty toilet is even filthier than that.

Hopefully, once he escaped, the man took a long, hot shower. Still, even that won't be enough to wash away the memory of being flushed away.
