The Florida police have charged a woman with armed robbery due to accusations of her holding a Dairy Queen at gunpoint. Despite all her efforts, she allegedly only managed to steal $1.50. The suspect, 44-year-old Allison Fetting, was already detained when the cops charged her on March 21. This altercation allegedly occurred on February 20, 2024, in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Woman Leaves With $1.50 After Dairy Queen Armed Robbery
According to People, the 44-year-old woman had already held several other charges like armed robbery and drug possession. Fetting's court hearing will take place on Wednesday, March 26 for the Dairy Queen robbery, as per WGLP.
The authorities detailed that Fetting used a black handgun when holding the 5405 Lyons Road Dairy Queen at gunpoint. She then demanded the clerk give her money from the register. In the end, she only managed to run off with the tip jar money, a total of $1.50.
An Instagram post by the Coconut Creek PD explained the strange altercation further. "It happened on February 20 at 2:45 p.m.," the post wrote. Fetting "walked into the Dairy Queen in Winston Park Plaza, showed an employee a gun, and demanded money." It clearly didn't go as planned, leaving Fetting with barely enough money to buy a stick of gum.
"The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office arrested her a day later," it continued. "She is accused of committing similar crimes in its jurisdiction. No one was hurt in the Dairy Queen robbery here in Coconut Creek."
The police are now holding Fetting in the Palm Beach County Main Detention Center. Florida state prison records give insight into the woman's past crimes. In 2003, Fetting served a prison sentence lasting three years. This was for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, grand theft, and battery on an officer.
It seems as though Fetting has not learned from her past mistakes. You would also imagine it's easier to rob a business with more money, such as a bank. An ice cream shop isn't exactly the number one choice for a robber to get the most bang for their buck.
