Fire rescue services in Florida responded to an unusual call last week when a truck crashed, spilling its precious cargo of milk all over the road.

Per a report by the KTEN, the incident occurred on Wednesday, January 29. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to a rather messy accident on I-95. When Emergency Services arrived at the scene near Lake Worth Beach, they found a truck trailer split open against a stone highway barrier. The force of the crash caused the trailer to throw hundreds of bottles of milk across the road.

Thankfully, nobody was hurt, although Fire Rescue evaluated 11 people at the crash site. Despite the enormous cleanup operation, the legen-dairy-ly messy highway was cleaned up within a few hours. The efforts didn't 'spill' into rush hour.

The PBCFR Posted About The Milk Spill On Social Media

It seems even the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue can't resist poking fun at the incident, and they definitely aren't crying over spilled milk. The PBCFR posted the following statement on Facebook:

"A milk truck had an "udderly" unfortunate crash on I-95 last night just after midnight. 11 people were evaluated on the scene. Thankfully, they were uninjured, and none of them needed to be 'moo-ved' to the hospital. We calculated that 4,160 gallons of milk were spilled across the northbound lanes at MM63! It took almost 3 hours to clean up after this 'Cream-mergency.'"

All puns aside, we are glad that nobody was hurt and the roadway was ready for this morning's commute.'

The PBCFR pulled no punches with their puns, and the comments section of their post continues their fine work. One user, Paul Sloanaker, writes, 'It's a good thing units acted fast, this situation could Sour quickly. Who knows what could have a-curd.'

Another by Tommy Noble reads, "I didn't want to be the one who "spoils" the story, but unfortunately the crash took a "churn" for the worst, and sadly there are many families who have to "hoof" it to another store to get their milk."

The best jokes are always the most succinct, and one of the highest upvoted comments is by Matthew Lobsinger, who writes "Breaking, I-95 renamed The Milky Way." In response to all the gags, Debbie Christiansen Nyman-Bergey leaves us with "Milking the puns for sure."
