This mom chose to make poor decisions around her child. Not only did her 2-year-old daughter have to watch the consequences of drug use on her mother's body, but she had to feel it for herself. The NY Post shares that Debra Scott took her daughter to an emergency room, complaining that she was "acting crazy."

This wasn't your typical bouncing-off-the-walls, sugar-rush crazy. No, this was something else entirely. Based on the way the child was flinging her arms, and her inability to sleep, hospital staff decided to get some lab tests on the girl. They did this because her symptoms mirrored what they would see in an adult who was using meth.

After the tests came back, they confirmed the worst. This innocent little 2-year-old was high on drugs. Authorities confirmed that this innocent child was "high from exposure to methamphetamines or other stimulants." Additional lab work also showed "she suffered from opiate exposure" as well.

Naturally, hospital staff were very concerned by the results so they contacted the police. Afterward, all the harrowing details began to come out. Scott admitted to recently using meth. Additionally, she shared that she and her daughter lived in a home with her boyfriend that was known for drug use.

Furthermore, her child had been showing symptoms for 12 hours before Scott decided to take her to a hospital for treatment or alert the police. Since then, Scott has been charged with felony child neglect.
