Ron Munday had an ingenious way to meet new people when he decided to move from Arizona to Port Charlotte, Florida. The newly dubbed Florida man turned his car into a massive, mobile chalkboard.

Some people may have just joined a meetup group or started a new gym membership. But not, Mr. Munday. He earns all the points for his creativity and has cemented himself a page in the state's long, eccentric history of Florida Man behavior.
Munday invited complete strangers to leave their mark on his ride. He turned his 2000 Cadillac into a chalkboard. It's earned him a newfound respect, according to Gulf Coast News. He explained, "People know my car. I can't even go to some places without saying, 'Hey, what's up, chalk daddy?'"
The newly appointed "Chalk Daddy" is recognized throughout the community. A year ago, he didn't know anyone in his new community. Now, he's practically a local legend. "I had a cop pull me over because he wanted to sign my car," he said.
Chalkboard Ride
He's dubbed his ride the Chalk Caddy. "People kept saying, 'Daddy.' They kept saying, 'Well, you love chalk, daddy.' And so eventually I said, 'OK, I'm going to be your chalk daddy.' And it just stuck," Munday said.
He's decked out his ride with multiple signatures. He said people can draw whatever "as long as there's nothing offensive. So I do carry a black marker with me."
Munday explained that he got the idea after spotting chalkboard paint at his local Walmart. Thus, the legend was born.
"Six hours later, my car was covered in chalkboard paint, and I decided to have people draw on it. So this is the second coat right here. I painted this about three months ago, and I had about 1,800 people sign it," he said.
When his car gets full, he just repaints it and keeps the tradition going.
"There's names buried under this paint," Munday said. "People think this is weird. Some people think it's the most amazing thing they've ever seen. I'm here just to live my life and make friends."
