Well, that's one way to keep up with important items. A Florida fugitive surprised officers with a special object hidden away in his underwear.

Indeed, on Oct. 1, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) caught up with 42-year-old Jonathan Terry, a fugitive with warrants in Kentucky and Indiana. In a press release, the HCSO explained that deputies and their Aviation Unit were sent to the 15000 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Dover around 6:37 p.m. in pursuit of Terry.
The HCSO noted that the warrant in Kentucky stems from " violating his probation on a possession of a controlled substance charge." Meanwhile, his fugitive warrant in Indiana was "for failure to appear on a methamphetamine possession charge."
Terry's warrant in Indiana had been active for 4 years.
To be a fugitive at large for that long, you have to be crafty. You might even have to be willing to hide a thing or two in your underwear, for instance.
Okay, Maybe Tucking Away This Particular Item in Your Underwear Isn't All That Bright
It's unclear what tipped off the Florida Sheriff's Office to the fugitive being in their neck of the woods. Regardless, the HCSO's Aviation Unit spotted Terry taking refuge under a shed overhang. The Aviation Unit monitored the fugitive as deputies on the ground closed in on him.
The HCSO reports that Terry, perhaps knowing his life on the run was finally at its end, got rid of one of his trusty companions. Responding deputies allege he threw a pair of brass knuckles under a nearby vehicle, just before they arrested him without further incident.
However, the fugitive had at least one more helpful item on his person.
Taped inside of his underwear, Terry had a handcuff key.
Never leave home without it, folks.
It's unclear whether the fugitive had the brass knuckles tucked away in his skivvies before he tossed them. That said, we'd like to think so.
Nevertheless, the "Underwear Key Bandit" managed to pick up two more charges via the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. The HCSO listed them as "Felon Carrying Concealed Weapon" and "Possession of Concealed Handcuff Key."
Well, maybe tucking away that handcuff key wasn't so clever after all.
"This convicted felon, wanted in two states, underestimated the skill and determination of team HCSO," Sheriff Chad Chronister declared in the press release. "He now faces new charges here and must answer for his crimes in Indiana and Kentucky."
The investigation remains ongoing...
