A Southwest Airlines flight attendant has been found dead near a dumpster while on a layover in Hawaii.

A hotel employee discovered Jenny Lupton's body early Thursday morning at a four-star resort in Waikiki.
Authorities believe Lupton fell from the balcony of her hotel room, which was located on the 24th floor.
Flight Attendant Dies During Hawaii Layover
Lupton, 50, was a mother from Oklahoma who had worked as a Southwest Airlines flight attendant for 23 years.
She was staying at the four-star Hilton Hawaiian Village resort in Waikiki during a layover when the tragic incident occurred.
Lupton's family did not learn of her death until around 24 hours later and does not believe she intentionally took her own life.
"We strongly believe that she didn't do this intentionally, and so that leads us to think it was either some kind of freak accident or someone harmed her," Lupton's sister, Tresa Lupton, said.
"We just want to know what happened. It doesn't feel real."
Tresa said her sister had been enjoying her time in Hawaii and had gone out with co-workers during the layover.
"She had just gotten a tattoo hours before this happened, and she messaged me," she said. "She said that when she gets back, she's going to have it colored in because it was just the outline."
Family Seeks Answers Over Jenny Lupton's Death
Tresa revealed that she and her sister had plans to live and travel together. Lupton was also familiar with Hawaii, having visited the islands "multiple times" before her final layover.
Lupton leaves behind a 15-year-old son, Kaleb, while family members have shared emotional tributes following her death.
Her niece, Hannah, followed in her aunt's footsteps by becoming a flight attendant.
"She was truly the best aunt anyone could have asked for," Hannah said.
"She was the light of every party, the person who could make a room brighter simply by being in it. She had a personality that was impossible to forget, and if you knew her, you probably have a funny story about her."
Hannah also remembered Lupton as a "storyteller" and "unforgettable," before concluding that "she will always be a part of me".
Authorities have launched an investigation as they work to establish exactly what happened in the moments leading up to Lupton's fatal fall.
