The Controversial 'Fixer Upper' Barndominium is up for Sale

If you're a Fixer Upper fan, you probably remember the iconic "Barndominium" project from season 3. After months of controversy, the home is now back up for grabs.

According to the Waco Tribute-Herald, property owner Kristi Bass opted to sell the 2,653 square foot home after she was barred from continuing to rent out the home. Neighbors in the area complained over the masses of Fixer Upper fans who were constantly traveling in and out of the Barndominium.

With many residents voicing their concerns, the Lacy Lakeview City Council in Texas voted last year to keep the barn home from going on the market as a rental. Now, Bass is opting to instead sell it altogether.

The decision comes not long after Joanna Gaines explained that she doesn't support Fixer Upper clients moving to rent out their home after renovations are completed. This is because she designs each space for the specific homeowners in mind. Chip and Joanna Gaines have also reportedly opted to pour more research into their clients before renovations to make sure they plan on staying in the house long-term.

According to Bass' recent Facebook post, the home is listed through Sotheby's International Realty. Although the official listing has not yet been posted, you can be sure that it will cost you a pretty penny to become the next owner of the Barndominion.
