Firefighters Finish Mowing Man's Lawn After He Suffers Medical Emergency Mid-Cut

When an Oklahoma City man became sick while doing yard work, the firefighters who responded to his medical call finished the job.

Some jobs, like mowing the lawn, have to be done. So when an Oklahoma City man became sick while doing yard work, the firefighters who responded to his medical call finished the job.

The Firefighters "Couldn't Leave" the Lawn "That Way"

After the first responders put the ill man in an ambulance, they noticed that his lawn was only "half-finished."

"We couldn't leave it that way, so we finished the job," the Oklahoma City Fire Department wrote in a Facebook

post.

The accompanying video showed the uniformed crew mowing the lawn and clearing the walkway with a leaf blower.

"Service does not always stop when the emergency is over," the post said. "It was a simple act of kindness and a reminder that caring for our community goes beyond the call."

Many took to the comments to thank the firefighters and praise them for their landscaping skills.

"Love this! Our neighbor is an OKC firefighter and he is one of the best guys we've ever met. A great group of people and our city is lucky to have them!" one user wrote.

Another user added, "This is an amazing act of kindness. Not required but because you guys care! Thank you so much."

Firefighters Always Go Above and Beyond

Firefighters are always going above and beyond for the community. While some finish the yard work, others may have to rescue citizens trapped in toilets

That latter incident involved a porta-potty in Kansas City in July. But the man didn't seem grateful for the help.

The firefighters had to cut an escape hole for the man with a buzzsaw. When they told him to lean forward and climb out, the man cursed out the first responders, saying the hole wasn't big enough.

"Lean forward and climb out," said one firefighter.

"I can't dumb f***," the trapped man responded.

"I'm the dumb f***? You're sitting in a f*****g urinal. That's real smart to say," the firefighter replied.

The trapped man eventually made his way out. Covered in... you know..., the firefighters hosed him down.
