Melanie Hamrick, the fiancée of Mick Jagger, claims she was "physically attacked" outside of a London-based club. She shared the update on her Instagram story.

"This is incredibly hard to share - but I was physically attacked @annabelsmayfair tonight - I'm so thankful to my friends for protecting me," Hamrick wrote. "Two people grabbed me from behind and thank god for good who stepped in to help me. I'm shaken, sad, and heartbroken that people can treat each other this way."
According to The Sun, the attack was "opportunist mugging."
"The Sun understands the attack was an opportunist mugging outside the private members' club," the newspaper reported.
Following the incident, a spokesperson for the Met Police provided a statement.
"We are aware of an Instagram story alleging an assault in Mayfair on Tuesday 10 February, and encourage the victim to report this to us," the spokesperson said. "The Met is committed to tackling crime in the West End, including violence against women and girls, and recognise the traumatic impact incidents of this nature can have on victims."
The spokesperson went on to explain that the Met has previously increased the police presence in the area. In doing so, crime has dropped by 30 percent in under a year.
"By increasing visible patrols in identified hotspots, we have already reduced theft in the area by 30 per cent since last April, while personal robbery is down by 20 per cent, meaning thousands fewer victims."
It's Been a Tough Start to the Year for Mick Jagger
Mick Jagger has been dealing with a lot to start 2026. To begin the year, Alexander Key, who is the partner of Jagger's granddaughter Assisi Jackson, went missing. According to Cornwall Live, Key's body was recently found in the sea off Bude on January 31.
"It is with the deepest of sadness and love in our hearts that we share the passing of Alex Key on 31st January 2026," Assisi wrote upon confirming the news. "For all of us that had the privilege of working with him, Alex was far more than a chef. He was a unique man who wasn't afraid to take risks and never stopped laughing."
Alexander and Assisi had two children together. His death will undoubtedly be a tough blow for Assisi, Jagger and the entire family. And now, with the attempted attack on Melanie, it's proving to be a difficult start to the year.
