Singer Kate Nash's bottom line made her bare her bottom to defray the significant cost of touring, she recently told members of Parliament. Per the Times of London, the artist has run up "five-figure losses" when she tours, according to the Times, including "a £26,000 loss on her last European tour." So out of extreme necessity, Nash has sold images of her unclad posterior via OnlyFans.

She told the MPs the truth. "The only reason it is possible for me to [tour] is because I sell pics of my bum on the internet."
Nash Spoke With Frustration About Her and Other Musicians' Financial Situation
Clearly, Nash, 38, did not turn to marketing photos of herself because she likes doing that. She seemingly felt there was no other alternative to quickly raise the money she required to hit the road. As the singer reportedly put it, she "genuinely needed the finances."
Nash had a number 1 album in 2007, Made of Bricks. Even for a singer of that stature, money is an issue. A big one, evidently.
Nash explained to the culture, media and sport select committee that she and a lot of artists are "sick of screaming into the void on how difficult it is" to handle the inevitable staggering costs associated with touring.
She Saw Using OnlyFans in Purely Practical Terms
Nash spoke about why she resorted to OnlyFans as a method of getting some fast money. "I think I didn't really believe how dire the situation was, but after being on the road for a while I was really stressing about how I am going to pay all of my invoices before Christmas ... I thought, [OnlyFans] is something I can do quite quickly, make an impact, talk about the problem — and financially, it really did quite help me."
What's the Cause of the Problematic Price Tag of Touring?
It seems like there are a few culprits. Post-Brexit regulations, inadequate profits going to artists from streaming, and huge, influential companies like Spotify and LiveNation. There is a brand new landscape out there for singers of every caliber, and it is sometimes an apparently insurmountable one.
Nash addressed some of these issues in front of the MPs. Of streaming, she said, "We are paid so unfairly for our recorded music, and we were told for a long time that that was OK because we made money from touring. But now it is really difficult for us to make money touring."
Nash also bluntly slammed "major labels." She said, "Live Nation, Spotify and the major labels are responsible for a lot, if not all, of the problems going on in the industry. I think they've been very destructive to artists and artists' lives, and to the potential of young new artists who have a dream of working in the music industry."
