Fans Wish Popular Singer With Appendicitis Well After She Canceled Shows

The popular singer revealed the unexpected cancellations just days before the shows were set to take place.

Phoebe Bridgers might have had the worst birthday present anyone could ever ask for.

As reported by Entertainment!Weekly, she has unfortunately been diagnosed with appendicitis. We reported on it when it happened. As she so hilariously put it in an Instagram Stories post, "I got appendicitis for my birthday." Rough!

She unfortunately noted that "Everything in the UK this week will have to move but I'll make it up to you!" Alongside her caption, she also posted a photo of herself looking pale-faced and a little glum, shrouded in a black hoodie in her hospital bed.

She was set to perform in Kingston upon Thames, England, before hitting Brighton and Bristol. All three towns were set to receive a matinee as well as an evening performance.

This comes after she performed directly on the date of her 32nd birthday in London on Monday. The popular singer performed two "intimate" sets to fans, performing hits new and old alike. "Motion Sickness" and "Bobby" were some of the tracks she performed for adoring fans.

Kingston's Banquet Records, who were originally planning the event, explained that there were plans to reschedule the event. They said they were "working closely with her global teams, and will update as soon as we can."

They added, "We of course wish her all the best, and apologize for any disappointment."

Fans were quick to note that these sorts of things are on-brand for Phoebe Bridgers. One commenter joked, "it really is the most on brand thing she couldve done like of course her body clock runs on tragedy".

Another fan wrote, "me and phoebe probably having matching appendicitis scars now." Another fan reminisced on their own experience of appendicitis, and said that it was "the worst thing you could imagine."

Other commenters aimed to wish her well, more than anything else. One wrote, "That's one birthday surprise no one wants, hope she's doing okay! Wishing her a speedy recovery!"

In any case, we hope that she feels better soon!
