A viral video of a recent performance showed this artist behaving in a way that raised some legitimate concerns.

Is Post Malone OK?

That's the question fans of the "I Had Some Help" singer are asking after a viral video of a recent performance showed him behaving in a way that raised concerns.

What's Going On With Post Malone?

In the clip, the 30-year-old Malone is on the stage, lying on his back. He then reaches into his pocket to grab a cigarette and sits up for a moment. He eventually gets up, grabs the mic, and hunches over the audience.

After a few moments, he spits into the air and launches into his hit "Rockstar" from his breakthrough album Beerbongs & Bentleys.

According to the TikTok post caption, the clip was taken on May 31 at this year's Gulf Coast Jam. The festival took place in Panama City Beach, Florida. Malone closed out the festival.

And without the proper context, it's hard to tell whether Malone is actually struggling with his performance. One user on X, satirist Dr. Jebra Faushay, didn't hold back in her blunt critique of the clip.

"Reminding me of Amy Winehouse on her worst day, here is Post Malone lying on the ground, lighting a cigarette," she wrote. "Then he walks around like a 90-year-old man who lost his shoes and needs a chiropractic adjustment. Should we be worried?"

Others echoed her sentiment, stating that the singer was "looking pretty rough."

But Wait A Sec...

Given that Malone announced last month he was delaying the second part of his Big Ass Stadium Tour for three weeks to finish his upcoming album, The Eternal Buzz, it would be easy to read his behavior as concerning.

But a simple Google search for the lyrics of "Rockstar" shows that the song is about engaging in the behavior that Faushay described. Did Malone's bizarre behavior meant to enhance his performance? It seems likely, considering that the stage show seemed perfectly timed to Malone's actions.

Additionally, according to the Panama City News Herald, organizers of the Gulf Coast Jam said there was "no question" that Malone's performance was the best in the festival's history.

Perhaps Malone's behavior at the show has been blown out of proportion. Either way, it's been a busy few years for the artist, so here's hoping he's doing alright regardless.
