Fans Are Emotional Over Gwen Stefani's Throwback Photos Set to 'Barbie' Theme

The video is set to Billie Eilish's 'What Was I Made For?'

In honor of the new Barbie movie, many fans are taking to TikTok to share glimpses of their "girlhood." These often-emotional videos feature a sound bite from the movie followed by Billie Eilish's song, "What Was I Made For?," which is featured in the film. The videos often feature throwback photos of one's journey through girlhood and womanhood, and Gwen Stefani recently got in the trend on social media.

Stefani shared a video to her Instagram and TikTok accounts that shows never-before-seen photos of herself as a child through her young adulthood. There are photos of her as a smiling toddler, as a little girl in dance class and riding a bike. As the video continues, it shows Stefani getting older, and she appears to be a teenager and young adult later in the clip.

One of the clips in the video shows a young Stefani twirling around in a dress while sporting a bob haircut. In other photos, she shows off her brunette hair. A few of the photos seem to be from around the time she began performing as a member of her band, No Doubt. The video ends with a short clip of with Stefani at her current age carrying a bouquet of flowers.

Fans in the comments reacted strongly to the video, with many writing that the montage made them emotional. One fan wrote, "I'm crying. thank you for being an incredible role model to so many of us we love u!!!" Another commented that young Stefani wouldn't have known the kind of influence she would have in music.

"She didn't know she was going to grown up to be a big influence and inspiration to many younger generations," wrote the social media user. "Love you."
