It's been two years since Emily Armstrong became the new lead singer of Linkin Park. She stepped into the very large shoes left behind by the late, great Chester Bennington. Of course, part of Armstrong's gig is to perform some of Linkin Park's greatest hits.

On Linkin Park's new documentary, Unshatter, Armstrong revealed her concerns about performing such massive hits. When speaking with PEOPLE, the frontwoman dove even deeper into those concerns.
"You see it in the documentary where I'm just like, 'Am I even cut out for this?'" Armstrong said. "You're trying to give yourself every reason to just be like, 'You're not good. Everybody knows these songs.'"
Rather than trying to sound like Bennington, Armstrong knew she would have to put her own spin on some of the classics if she was going to be successful in her new role.
"That's the only thing that I could think of," she explained. "Don't try to be like anybody. You're not a replacement. Nobody could ever, ever replace Chester. Do what you do. The only thing that I could possibly try with the old songs is just to have the same emotional impact as much as I possibly can with the songs, because that's what you're ultimately going to want at this point."
Emily Armstrong Is Grateful To Be a Part of Linkin Park
Despite her initial concerns, Armstrong knows how lucky she is to have this opportunity with Linkin Park.
"I know how lucky I am," she explained in Unshatter. "It's everything I've dreamed of. I'm so fortunate to be in this position. It's crazy. Having it happen later in my life is something I wouldn't change."
Stepping into Bennington's shoes was never going to be easy. He was the voice of an era that countless millennials remember fondly. However, Armstrong has navigated the situation admirably, and Linkin Park fans have embraced her addition to the group.
Now, with Armstrong as the frontwoman, Linkin Park is back to making music and touring. Because of that, Nu Metal fans worldwide have something to be excited about. She may have been worried about her new job, but as it turns out, she was the ideal person for the role.
