A rock festival became tragic last week when a fan died after suffering a "traumatic" brain injury.

The incident occurred on Sunday, July 26, at the Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach, California. That's when, according to a GoFundMe page, David Granado Jr. was transported to a local hospital.
Granado underwent "emergency surgery and multiple days of life support." He tragically did not recover, and his family is looking for answers.
What Happened at the Rock Festival?
Granado attended the Vans Warped Tour rock festival with his girlfriend, brother, and friends.
In a comment on the GoFundMe page, a user claiming to be Granado's brother said he was last seen at the event around 5 p.m. He claims that his brother walked to a medical tent. Then, around 8:19 p.m., Granado was admitted to the emergency room.
What Granado's family doesn't know is when the brain injury happened. The area of the rock festival where it occurred is also unknown.
"Please send any relevant information to myself and not anyone else on this thread. Thank you so much," his brother added.
The Police Were Contacted
As PEOPLE reports, the Long Beach Police Department said they were contacted on July 29 "regarding an individual at a local hospital in critical condition" who was transported to the hospital from the rock festival.
Officers then learned that the individual had died.
"The preliminary investigation did not indicate any signs of foul play," the department added.
The Vans Warped Tour did not respond to the outlet's request for comment.
In the meantime, nearly $13,000 has been raised to help offset Granado's medical costs. The GoFundMe states that the money raised will go to Granado's mother.
It reads, "With emergency surgery and multiple days of life support, the family is not sure what the final cost will be. We hope we can at least partially help relieve some of the financial burden as they deal with this devastating situation."
