We then shared that a rare cyst was found on the actor's spine. In that report, Margarita, a woman claiming to be Aaron's wife, said she has faith in God that he will walk out of the hospital fully recovered.
However, TMZ reports that Margarita may not be his wife, at least in a legal sense. We have the details below.
The Brother of Quinton Aaron Says Margarita is Married to Someone Else
Jarred Aaron, Quinton's brother, says Margarita is actually married to someone else.
The concern is that Margarita may be presenting herself to the hospital staff as Quinton's legal wife. This could mean that she is making "crucial and life-saving medical decisions."
"Since the health crisis of our beloved family member Quinton Aaron, we have raised some suspicions about the legitimacy of Quinton & Margarita's 'marriage' to each other as well as her legitimacy as a registered nurse," Quinton's family said in a statement.
It adds, "We have found some alarming details. We as a family believe Margarita isn't who she claimed to be to us. This has caused us to want to investigate her further."
TMZ shared that Margarita's family is backing up these suspicions and that she is married to someone else.
Jarred says he has not yet shared these claims with Quinton. He is waiting until he makes a full recovery from his spinal stroke.
Margarita Says She and Quinton Aaron Are "Spiritually Married"
For her part, Margarita told TMZ that she and Quinton "got spiritually married." She says that she does not have power of attorney and has never made medical decisions on the actor's behalf.
In response to Jarred's claims, she adds, "If he's saying I'm such a bad person, why does he live with me and Quinton?" Jarred said he was unaware of her and Quinton's marriage status when they lived together.
The GoFundMe page created in Quinton's name was launched by Veterans Aid Network, a nonprofit that helps raise awareness and funds on behalf of veterans and their families.
The actor is part of a veteran family and has volunteered for them. According to an update on the page, "his wife" reached out to them for help in organizing the fundraiser.
