A 2-year-old boy suffered a tragic and unexplained medical episode that left him dead, and the family devastated. They have come forward to speak about the horrific incident in Merseyside, UK.

The preschool boy was enjoying a normal day when the 'fatal medical episode' killed him. A postmortem is being performed, but at present, the cause of death is a mystery. The family has been torn apart by the sudden and unexpected death of their 2-year-old.
The young boy was taken to hospital after his medical episode. "He was sadly pronounced deceased shortly afterward and his family continue to be supported by specially trained officers," local police stated.
Despite the postmortem having been conducted, the statement still states that the death is "currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident." The family has spoken about the loss of their 2-year-old.
Parents "Lives Will Never Be The Same Again"
To lose a child so suddenly and at such a young age is something no parents should ever have to live through. Speaking through a statement to the police, the family has opened up about the loss of their 2-year-old child.
"This is our sweet baby boy, Jude Gerrard. We are absolutely heartbroken and devastated beyond words by this shocking and unexpected loss of the love of our lives. I know all parents think this about their own children, but Jude truly was so incredibly special."
They continued, opening up about their grief. "Our lives will never be the same again, he really was too good to be true and we can't believe he has been taken away from us like this, with something so preventable. He deserved so, so much more. We count ourselves so lucky we got to be his [mommy] and daddy for two and a half years, even though he should have had so much more time."
Since then, the family has asked for privacy surrounding the death of their 2-year-old boy. For the time being they require time to grieve alone. They ask for time while the police investigate exactly what happened to the preschool boy.
