Family Feud Erupts Within Chart-Topping Country Trio as Former Member Takes Aim at Famous Sister

The country trio band member previously claimed that he was kicked out of the band. He's now thrown more shade at them.

Everyone knows that family relationships don't always end on good terms. Sometimes it's really quite difficult to reconcile things - so they stop talking to each other. And, typically, each party thinks that they're in the right.

There's no better example of this than the beloved country trio The Band Perry. You might remember them - they were a big band responsible for legendary hits like "If I Die Young" and "Better Dig Two".

Well, they're still going. But rather than consisting of siblings Kimberly, Reid, and Neil Perry, it instead consists of just Kimberly and her husband, Johnny Castello. And that lineup change caused a lot of animosity between her and Neil.

And, in the most recent of a number of spats, Neil has taken to social media to lambast The Band Perry, per Whiskey Riff. He made a seemingly now-deleted seasonal post to celebrate Halloween - but took the opportunity to take aim at Kimberly.

"The Band Perry wins Halloween this year," he wrote. "No costumes needed when my sister and her 2nd husband have spent the whole year cosplaying as our sibling band." Burn!

"The real horror story? Watching them try to hit family blood harmonies with a marriage certificate," he added.

He Previously Called Out the Country Band

But this isn't the first time that he has called out the country band, and the last time he went public about the whole feud, he made some pretty crazy claims.

We reported on it when it happened - he claimed to fans that he had been kicked out of the band. "June 2024 took something from me," he said in a social media post.

"Something I had spent my entire life building. A band, a business, a family, a name. My sister wanted her husband to become a member of the band, taking my brother's place. I made it equally clear that I was not okay with that. By then, the situation had become about far more than the lineup."

It really does feel like this might be beyond a surface-level family problem by this point. We hope that things end up being amicable - although things don't look too promising.
