Ryo Uchimiya, a 51-year-old chef at the popular Nobu restaurant in Malibu, California, was sleeping in his parked car on the Pacific Coast Highway near the celebrity-frequented restaurant. Harrowing footage shows the moment an SUV veers off the PCH, crosses the fog line, and into the shoulder, crashing into Uchimiya's vehicle in the early morning hours.

Uchimiya was killed in the Oct. 3 incident.

The driver of the SUV, a 16-year-old boy, was reportedly moving at speeds of at least 50 MPH when the crash occurred, which sent Uchimiya's car forward and smashed it into another parked vehicle. Uchimiya was reportedly found dead in the backseat of this car, allegedly napping before another shift.

Now, DMV records obtained by The New York Post have revealed who owned the SUV driven by the unnamed 16-year-old. The outlet reports that Harry Gregson-Williams, a composer who frequently works with acclaimed director Ridley Scott, owns the vehicle.

"This family is grieving just as the other family," the Gladiator II composer told The Post in a "brief" phone call.

Hollywood Composer Attended Red Carpet Event Days Before Tragic Accident

As of this writing, it's unknown what the composer's relationship with the 16-year-old driver is. While authorities have identified the individual during their ongoing investigation, their name hasn't been released to the public.

Gregson-Williams is a veteran composer for Hollywood blockbusters with credits dating back to the 1990s. His most recent credits include the Ridley Scott-helmed action film The Dog Stars and the upcoming Netflix film Animals, directed and starring Ben Affleck.

Indeed, Gregson-Williams was photographed attending the Los Angeles red carpet premiere of Animals on Oct. 1, just days before the tragic crash.

Meanwhile, Uchimiya worked at Nobu Malibu for over two decades. Staff at Nobu in Malibu confirmed that he worked a shift at the restaurant the night before he was killed. He reportedly died at the scene from multiple blunt-force injuries.

Friend Steven Zaw also shared fond memories of the veteran chef with The Post.

"He's an amazing human being, great skier. Taught his kids how to ski. We went on a lot of ski trips together," Zaw told the outlet. "Amazing chef. He wanted to open a restaurant in Long Beach. On the ski trips, he made great meals. Cooks way better than me. He loved climbing. We loved him."

Uchimiya is survived by his wife and two sons.
