The grandson of famed college coach Mike Krzyzewski has been charged with driving under the influence after a fatal crash. As reported by the New York Post, the crash led to the death of a 15-year-old.
26-year-old Joseph Savarino is the grandson of Mike Krzyzewski, a famous college basketball coach. Local news outlets reported that he allegedly hit the teen, who was on an electric bicycle. The crash happened around 9pm local time, in Durham, North Carolina.

Local outlets reported that the coach's grandson was travelling north on Cole Mill Road in Durham when the crash happened.

But, it looks like things aren't looking too good for Savarino. The coach's grandson was registered with a 0.11 blood-alcohol content after a breathalyzer was administered to him after the crash. He also admitted to police that he was drinking before the crash.
He is now facing a misdemeanor count of driving while impaired, according to online records. But, the investigation is still ongoing. He has been released on $100,000 bail. TMZ has reported that he handed over his license, and is due back in court in a month's time.
