Faith Hill will be stepping off the stage and behind the camera as the executive producer for a new daytime talk show.
While Hill's new role will mostly be behind the camera, she is leaving the hosting in good hands with American Idol alumni Kellie Pickler. Back in 2015, we found out that the two female country stars were teaming up to launch a talk show. In recent months, the project seems to be gaining momentum.
Pickler recently sat down with People and gave fans a little bit of insight into the project. She says that the show is still in the early stages of production, but that all is looking good.
While Pickler will be working her magic on camera with special guest co-hosts, Hill will be calling the shots alongside esteemed Oprah production alumni Lisa Erspamer. The show will be focusing on lifestyle topics such as cooking, home design, gardening and entertaining. According to Billboard, the subjects will be more along the lines of personal anecdotes than celebrity drama. The show will be more of a Live with Kelly and Michael style show and less like The View.
"This is a woman of so many talents," Hill said of Pickler. "She possesses the ability to reach far beyond the camera and into the hearts of people, allowing you to feel immediately connected to her.
Neither Hill or Pickler are strangers to television. Pickler was first discovered on American Idol and was also a part of Dancing with the Stars. Currently, she appears in her own CMT reality show I Love Kellie Pickler. Hill has made appearances in films such as The Stepford Wives and Dixieland.
Currently, the show has no official name, but will be filming in Nashville and is moving towards a 2017 debut. Hill will have her hands full with both the project and her massive Soul2Soul Tour with husband Tim McGraw.
