According to a statement, officers with the Franklin Police Department arrested Angelia Solomon, 55, on Friday, April 11. She faces a charge of 'solicitation to commit first-degree murder.'

Per a report by People, Solomon is accused of hiring a hitman to kill her ex-husband, Aaron Solomon. Aaron was a former morning anchor for WSMV4. The outlet explains that on April 11 at around 2:15 PM, Angelia Solomon allegedly met an undercover officer posing as a hitman in the Cool Springs Mall parking lot.

Angelia allegedly offered the disguised officer "future payment" and gave her vehicle details as collateral. She reportedly wanted Aaron to "disappear and be put underground." Angelia also allegedly said that when her ex-husband died, their daughter would be able to access a trust fund. People explains that, per the affidavit, Angelia told the undercover officer where Aaron lives and where he may work.

The Franklin Police Department says that Solomon is held with a $500,000 bond and the case remains under investigation

The Former Anchor's Family Reportedly Accused Him Of Foul Play Regarding His Son's Death

According to a report by The Tennessean, the ex-couple's son, Grant Solomon, died in a car accident shortly after his 18th birthday in July 2020. A candlelit vigil for the teen was interrupted by chants of "Justice for Grant" and calls for an investigation into his death, per The Williamson Herald. The outlet alleges that some say Grant died in 'mysterious circumstances.'

Grant was reportedly hit by his own car while at a baseball training facility with his father. Angelie and the couple's daughter, Gracie, both allegedly accuse the former anchor of foul play owing to 'suspicious circumstances' and a lack of evidence regarding the teen's death.

The Williamson Herald explains that Aaron was the only witness to the incident. Grant was reportedly grabbing gear from his truck when it rolled into a ditch, and he was trapped underneath it. The outlet also alleges that there was 'friction' between Grant and his father in the weeks before his death.
