All of the biggest artists in country music will be on hand for the 50th annual CMA Awards. Now, the first wave of performers for the ceremony have been revealed.
Former and current nominees Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Keith Urban, and Brad Paisley have all been tapped to take the stage. Breakthrough artist Maren Morris, who is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and New Artist of the Year, will also perform.
The 50th annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 8:00 PM on ABC. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Country Music Association has also been celebrating their golden anniversary with the release of "Forever Country." The collaborative single mashes up John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads," Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again", and Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You".
Modern country artists have also been honoring their heroes in recent weeks with the "Forever Country Cover Series." Check out Jon Pardi's cover of "Forever and Ever, Amen," as well as Mark Wills' version of "The Gambler."
