Scott Bryce, an As the World Turns alum, has tragically died at 68. As reported by Page Six, his friend Lucie Arnaz confirmed his passing.
She wrote in a now-deleted post on social media, "A wonderful actor, a beautiful man and a terrific husband and father, Scott Bryce, passed tonight."
"I am going to miss his eyes, his smile, his wit, his brain, his intelligence, his talent, his bravery ,his laugh and his hugs."
The Jazz Singer actress also wrote a message to Bryce's wife, Jodi Stevens, and their son, Jackson. "He's watching over you now from a place of pure joy and will always be your guide."
The As the World Turns star was previously diagnosed with Stage 3 esophageal and stomach cancer back in 2025. However, he was reported to be in remission, or, in his words, "on the mend".
Per Michael Fairman TV, the actress revealed that his cancer had returned in the lead-up to his tragic passing.
Bryce was best known for his role in As the World Turns. He played the businessman Craig Montgomery in the soap opera from 1982 to 2008.
For his role, he received two Daytime Emmy nominations - one in 1986, and one in 1987. They were both for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
He was also known for appearing in Silk Hope, Murphy Brown, Beacon Hill, Chicago P.D., Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Blue Bloods. His last credited role was in 2024, where he starred in a Law & Order episode.

Commenters were quick to mention Bryce's role as Craig in the soap opera.
One commenter wrote, "I watched As the World Turns for many, many years and loved Craig (although his character was shady - just heartbroken but grateful he blessed us with his talent," with another writing, "Craig Montgomery was such a layered character."
