Ella Langley's signature bangs have a unique story behind them. The country star recently explained how the story of how she got her style involved a 'bad haircut.' She shared that story during an April 7 appearance on Theo Von's "This Past Weekend" podcast.

"I have a bad tendency to cut my own hair," Ella said. "Most of the time it goes bad — that's how I got bangs in the first place. I was wearing a cowboy hat for a while, and then I took it off because it was windy one show and it was pissing me off. I decided, 'You know what, I'm gonna take it off.' And I like how my bangs were kind of around my face."
Ella then continued by explaining how she had decided to give herself a quick haircut shortly before a show.
"Like 20 minutes before I walked out onstage, I decided to cut my fringe a little bit, and it was so bad," Ella continued. "I was shooting the cover art for my first record that next week and [my creative director Caylee Robillard] was like, 'Hate you,' So, I just told her full send it with the bangs. I don't think I can ever change it. It changed my life a little bit, I would say."
Ella Langley Is Preparing for Her First Headlining Tour
Let's be honest, we've all had a bad haircut or two in our lives. The only difference is that Ella chose to embrace it, and now, it's a key part of her aesthetic. In fact, countless fans will get to see that bad haircut turned good in the coming months, as Ella embarks on her first headlining tour.
The Dandelion Tour will run between May and August this year. It's currently scheduled for 16 dates. Ella will open the tour at the Austin County Fairgrounds in Belleville, Texas, on May 1. She will end it on Fri, Aug 21, at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois.
"You know we had to take this record on the road... So excited to announce The Dandelion Tour! Also, bringing some of my favorite people along, you won't wanna miss this," Ella wrote on Instagram when announcing the tour.
So, the next time you have a bad haircut, just remember, it could become something that defines you. It worked for Ella.
