Harris Will Still Reportedly Be a Strong Presence on Season 2
Sighs of relief can be heard if you are an Ed Harris fan. Per TV Insider, [Kelly] Reilly and {Cole] Hauser tell TV Insider that Dutton Ranch Season 2 is going to have a lot more of Harris in it...."
Cole Hauser Rhapsodized About Him
Hauser, who is Rip Wheeler in the series, had words of high praise for Harris, 75. Per the outlet, he shared, "Let's not forget about the great Ed Harris. We also have him, and he's going to become a very important, integral part of Season 2. And for both Kelly and I, obviously Annette [Bening] is phenomenal, but I cannot wait to work more with him. He's such an amazing American actor that I think was used very sparingly this year. We're going to make sure that he is a big part of helping us moving forward in whatever capacity."
Kelly Reilly is clearly onboard with that pronouncement. "Agreed. I think Season 2 is going to feel very much more Ed's show. This is not the Beth and Rip show."
Harris Has Had a Distinguished Career
If you are unfamiliar with Ed Harris's acting career, I have a suggestion. Watch the 2000 film Pollock. He directed and starred in this searing biopic about the troubled but brilliant contemporary artist. Jackson Pollock battled his own demons while trying to win over the crusty titans of the modern art establishment. Harris's portrayal of him is fierce, gritty, and uncompromising. The 1950s urban vibe of the movie is extraordinary.
