Bangkok and Myanmar have been hit with a 7.7 magnitude earthquake, per Reuters, which has killed several people and collapsed infrastructure. As the tragedy unfolds and a state of emergency has been issued, videos have been uploaded to social media.

Many videos of scared and fleeing civilians have been circulating online, but one video in particular has gone viral. The moment an under-construction skyscraper collapsed.

The harrowing footage has been reposted numerous times. The recorder filmed the skyscraper just as it lost its integrity and fully collapsed. As it caved in on itself, a huge cloud of dust billowed and quickly enveloped the surrounding area.

Even at the distance the recorder was at, they had to flee before getting caught up in it.

According to The New York Post, authorities have spoken about the collapse. Hauntingly, three were killed from it, and nearly 100 are still missing, likely trapped in the rubble and debris.

Other Skyscrapers Collapse From Earthquake

Other footage uploaded and spread on social media shows another multi-story building collapsing dramatically due to the earthquakes.

A crane can be seen tumbling over the side before smashing back into the building. Water flooded from the pool at the top reaches of the building.

Another disturbing video also shows water cascading from a high-rise building. It appears as though the surge of water triggered an electrical explosion near the foundation of the tower, prompting more terror from witnesses.

Such horrifying moments have been happening all across Thailand and Myanmar. There have been over 20 confirmed deaths since the earthquake struck just after noon. After the 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck, a 6.7 magnitude aftershock was reported 11 minutes later, per The New York Times.

Reports are conflicting and varied, but there are likely hundreds of individuals unaccounted for and trapped in the wreckage.

The epicenter of the earthquake was detected near Mandalay, which is Myanmar's second-largest city. Bridges have also collapsed, which will only impede emergency and rescue efforts. Officials have said that some wreckages are too unstable to begin searching for trapped victims.
