Eagles Recruit Vince Gill to Fill in for Glenn Frey at Upcoming Concerts

Just days after announcing that Glenn Frey's son will join the Eagles, Vince Gill has also been added to the  band's lineup.

According to the L.A. Times, the country star will share lead vocal duties with 24-year-old Deacon Frey for their upcoming concerts in New York and Los Angeles. The decision to recruit Gill seems like an easy one, as he has kept a close relationship with the band members for years. Vince recently appeared on Don Henley's country record Cass County, and has regularly covered their tunes live.

The band originally planned on staying off the road after Frey's death last year. But it was the feedback from fans that brought the bandmates back together.

"I thought we were done when Glenn passed away and I said as much, but I was in a state of shock at the time," Henley said in a recent interview. "But we have gotten a lot of messages from people all over the world from people who would like to see things continue."
