Rising artist Dylan Scott just answered fan's wishes by releasing a music video for his popular, unreleased song, "Sleeping Beauty."
In the new video, Scott performs in a dimly lit room with just his acoustic guitar and a microphone. The simple, one-camera production puts the spotlight on Scott's baritone voice and lets the song's lyrics speak for themselves.
The up-and-coming country singer co-wrote the ballad with Lee Brice and Matt Alderman about Scott's real-life romance. Once the trio finished the song, Scott posted a selfie performance video to his Facebook page. That video quickly became a fan favorite, garnering more than 600,000 views. Since then Scott's fans have been requesting the track at his live shows.
Scott's currently on tour with dates all the way through mid-September. He has dates throughout the U.S. including ones in Nashville and in his home state of Louisiana.
His other love song, "My Girl," is currently climbing the charts. That is another song he wrote about his wife that he says was "10 years in the making." You can watch that video here.
Dylan Scott, "Sleeping Beauty" Lyrics
You pull the covers off the bed
pedals stuck between your legs
oh what a beautiful mess
my t-shirt never looked so good
I'm laying here like I could
stay here forever next to
sleeping beauty you got no idea
what you do to me
I hope your dreams come true
last night was perfect
we stayed up to late but it was worth
to wake up seeing you sleeping beauty
the sun hurts pouring through the blinds
I guess I poured us too much wine
put the blame on me
but I ain't gonna wake you up
you don't need it but you won't get your beauty sleep
sleeping beauty you got no idea
what you do to me
I hope your dreams come true
last night was perfect
we stayed up to late but it was worth
to wake up seeing you sleeping beauty
