Multi-talented artist Dwight Yoakam is showing off his acting skills once again for his new role in an upcoming streamable drama.
According to USA Today, the country star has signed on to play the lead actor in Amazon Studios' upcoming online drama Goliath. His character, Wendell Corey, is the man in charge at a massive aerospace company. Yoakam's previous Slingblade co-star Billy Bob Thornton plays Billy McBride, a trial lawyer who tries to bring down the company in the court of law.
The show, which was developed by David E. Kelley, will also star William Hurt, Molly Parker, Maria Bello Olivia Thirlby and Jonathan Shapiro.
Over the years, Yoakam has starred in array of films and television shows, including Under the Dome, Panic Room and Crank. Goliath will be available to stream through Amazon.com beginning this fall.
Earlier this month, the busy actor and musician released a new 7? vinyl single through Jack White's Third Man Records, which features the tracks "Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day" and "High On The Mountain of Love."
Until Goliath becomes available later to stream this year, you can catch him out on the road in support of his latest album, Second Hand Heart. He'll be performing at various state fairs, casinos and outdoor venues through the beginning of November. You can find all of his upcoming tour dates at his official website.
